Full Compliance

Georgia Southern is in compliance with its program responsibilities under Title IV of the Higher Education Amendments of 1998 and can provide documentation to support that judgment of compliance. The Office of Financial Aid administered more than 26,500 scholarship awards in the 2001-2002 academic year, of which federally funded employment and grant programs constituted about 27% of the total number of awards1 . The polices, procedures, and guidelines administered by the Office of Financial Aid are subject to annual audits to ensure that they satisfy the audit and review standards established by the U.S. Department of Education and the State of Georgia. Such confirmation was provided in recent documents issued by the U.S. Department of Education (dated December 16, 2003) and the Georgia Student Finance Commission (dated December 22, 2003).
