Georgia Southern University defines and publishes policies regarding the appointment and employment of faculty in its Faculty Handbook (see § 217). In addition, the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs has published and makes available on its web site the procedures for conducting searches for faculty and major administrative officers .

The Division of Human Resources is responsible for implementing the policies concerning the appointment and employment of staff. These procedures are published in the Classified Employee Handbook . Policies and procedures are also made available on Human Resources' web site .
